Dear Madame, dear Sir,
Dear Member,

dpo pro invites you to his next Dutch speaking webinar on January 30, 2023 @ 4:00 PM.

Kim Wuyts, senior privacy researcher at the imec-DistriNet research group at KU Leuven

will present:

« Threat modeling to integrate privacy early in the software development lifecycle »

Privacy is not just a legal problem, nor is it something that can be fixed by simply adding on some privacy solutions (such as encryption or anonymization) when the system is already implemented. Privacy requires a by design approach that integrates privacy concepts from the early stages of the development lifecycle onward. Threat modeling, a successful approach to integrate security at design time, is equally useful to strengthen a system’s privacy posture. In this seminar we will dive into this topic and discuss the what, why, and how of privacy threat modeling.

Kim Wuyts has more than 15 years of experience in security and privacy engineering. Kim is one of the driving forces behind the development and extension of LINDDUN, a privacy threat modeling framework. She is also a co-author of the Threat Modeling Manifesto, program co-chair of the International Workshop on Privacy Engineering (IWPE), and a member of ENISA’s working group on Data Protection Engineering.
