On the flip side, organisations with legacy IT will struggle to become quantum-safe before powerful quantum computers can break current encryption standards, exposing sensitive data and exposing organisations to major security threats.

By the end of this webinar, you will have an understanding of the opportunities and risks that quantum technologies bring, and what this means for data protection.

 

Speaker: Deborah Nas

Prof. Deborah Nas is a thought leader in technology-driven innovation. She holds a part-time professorship at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at TU Delft and serves as the Innovation Lead at QDNL’s Centre for Quantum & Society, where she is spearheading an exploration into the ethical, legal, and societal impacts of quantum networks. Additionally, she is a member of the supervisory board of Hardt Hyperloop, pioneering a groundbreaking new transportation system, and a member of the investment committee of Innovation Quarter, a €143 million deep tech investment fund.

She is the acclaimed author of ‘Design Things That Make Sense’, a practical guide for tech startups and corporate innovation teams navigating the world of innovation. Known for her ability to bridge academic theory and practical application, she makes technology accessible to diverse audiences, making her a sought-after keynote speaker. Deborah is especially recognized for her insights into the impact of technology on our future.
