dpo pro invites you to our next Webinar « Brexit & impact on GDPR » which will take place on November 17 @ 4:00 PM

The Brexit transition period is due to end at 23:00 (GMT) on 31 December 2020, and negotiations on a free trade agreement between the UK and the EU have been extended by another month. It may be tempting for businesses to think that, from a data protection perspective, there is nothing to do until we know about the trade agreement and whether the UK will be granted an adequacy decision. However, that is certainly not the case. The end of the transition period potentially means changes to the data protection regimes that UK and EU businesses are subject to, as well as their records of processing, contracts, policies and procedures, and requirements to appointment representatives.
